PREPARING FOR YOUR home INSPECTION

All parties involved want a worry-free home inspection.  Buyers are excited, sellers are anxious to move forward, and real estate agents want a smooth transition to closing on the property. Here are a few items that will help prevent an incomplete inspection:

1. Make sure the utilities are on: water, electric, and gas (confirm pilot lights, if equipped, are lit).
2. Clear items from blocking access to attics, water heaters, crawlspaces, electric service panels, and HVAC equipment.
3. Make sure all areas of the home are unlocked, for ease of access.
4. Safely secure your pets, if you choose to have them on premises during the inspection.
